Summary: Super easy check in. Very quiet place to stay. Breakfast was good as well. Beds were Comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like was how hot the rooms got at night. Otherwise, good location for the day we had planned.

Summary: Best breakfast on our 12 day trip in Iceland. Only hotel that serves a decent coffee and not that old fashioned brown water they serve even at high level hotels. Very nice stay.

Summary: Pleasant stay. Room was in great condition and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the hall was spacious. The staff could be a little more helpful and attentive.

Summary: The place looks terrible from the outside and it’s a mile down a dirt road. Once inside the rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is terrific. It’s not actually in Vik it’s a bit of a drive to town.

Summary: One of the nice things about staying in small places in foreign countries is getting to know the owners or staff and learning about the area. There was no one at check in to greet us, only a paper with a code to the room. We had trouble at first using the code and had to use the "ring" doorbell to communicate with the owner. The room was basic and fine. The breakfast was meh. Runny eggs (probably powdered) and other store-bought products. I would be ok with the average-ness of the stay if the room didn't cost so much

Summary: Let’s start with all the positives which include a comfortable bed, a shower with strong water pressure, the room was clean and a plentiful breakfast buffet. The areas that could be improved is having a small fridge in the room. Given that the hotel is a ways from any place to get food or beverages it would have been nice to have a place to put a few things during our three day stay. Also, I sent the hotel a message (using the Hotels.com messaging option) asking for guidance with the tv as it was not working but I never heard anything from them. Maybe being a self serve sort of place I shouldn’t have been surprised. Lastly, one of the bedside reading lights was busted and one of the wall lights was missing a lightbulb. The location is 15 minutes from Vik or any other place with a store or restaurant so just something to keep in mind.
